What is necessary is that some few, really great ideas made clear to him, and that the essential fundamental lines be burned inextinguishably into him, so that he is entirely permeated by the necessity of the victory of his movement and its doctrine. He is, on the contrary, trained in rigid discipline and fanatical faith in the justice and power of his cause, and taught to stake his life for it without reservation; the same must occur with the individual adherent of a movement of great scope, great future, and the greatest will"

ADOLPH HITLER

Project Tocsin's research, along with others throughout the country, has unearthed alarming philosophical parallels between the National Socialist Movement in Germany during the 1920s and the '30s, and the Christian Reconstructionist/Dominion Theology movement of the present, and the White Supremacist* vision of America in the future.

(*For purpose of this text, the term "White Supremacist" includes the Klu Klux Klan, Christian Identity Churches, Skinheads, Aryan Nations, The National Socialists (Nazis), White Separatists and other self-identified groups).

For instance, is it just a coincidence, as one looks at the writings of various Christian Reconstructionists, a noticiable pattern of very subtle, pervasive and persuasive racism emerge. We then see the same patterns, thought progression and ideology mirrored in other Christian writings particularly the "action arms" of the Christian Reconstructionist ideology - the Coalition On Revival and the Christian Coalition. In essence, the patterns are clear whether from the past (National Socialist Party) the present Christian rhetoric and political activity, or the potentially warlike future (Christian Identity, White Aryan Resistance, Ayran Nations, etc.).

The leading Christian Reconstructionist journal in this country is The Chalcedon Report published by Chalcedon, Inc., and its eighty-one year old president the Reverend Doctor Rousas John Rushdoony. The Chalcedon Report plus other of his writings are prime examples of this subtle, or perhaps not so subtle, racism.

What is the basis of this racism? In Project Tocsin's view, it is in part, the result of teaching the racial and cultural exclusivity of the Christian faith. How can such tenets be valid when people of all races make the claim of being Christian?

The answer is fairly simple. The Christian racist/racialist believes that with the exception of a few true believers, the rest of Christianity is in an apostate state. They believe they are the remnant caretakers of THE TRUTH-as they perceive it. As a prolific author and the foremost advocate/ theologian of the Christian Reconstructionist movement, Rev. R. J. Rushdoony reinforces the image of the small band of racially, morally culturally embattled true believers, saying:

"Living as we do in a humanistic age, where the TRUE CHURCH is a SMALL MINORITY ... as the world more openly embraces humanism, our religious institutions, schools, families, and callings must see themselves as outposts of Christ's Kingdom, local gatherings of citizens of the new creation...In the building for worship, THE TRUE CHURCH in a local community gathers to hear the word of God whereby they are to go forth and exercise dominion." (emphasis added P.T.)

"All religions segregate also... every religion asserts an order of truth and every other order is regarded as a lie."

The Rev. Jay Grimstead of the Coalition on Revival says it more graphically:

"Up until around 1830, the theologians, pastors and informed lay persons of large portions of the Church held to a more biblical view of the Kingdom of God than is now generally taught in most churches worldwide...If we are right that the Kingdom of God is basic ... then is it any wonder the Body of Christ, which has been teaching falsehood(unknowingly) regarding these points the past 160 years is now like the church of Laodicea: "wretched, poor, blind and naked" and not even aware of its own horrible condition?!!!"

Another example of these teachings of exclusivity can be found in the literature of the Community Impact Committee Seminars sponsored by the popular religious radio program, Focus on the Family which is led by Dr. James Dobson:

"There are reasons to believe that the Christian religion is true and that Christian morals work best for all ... Christians are not just another special interest group; we are an 'everyone's best interest group ... Political change is not enough.

The foregoing examples are from supposedly mainstream evangelical, fundamentalist Christianity. Can you imagine what is thought and said by the white nationalist, paramilistaristic Identity Church or other supposedly fringe groups?

First, let's take a look at some of R. J. Rushdoony's writings on the subject of race:

"The background of Negro culture is African and magic, and the purposes of the magic are control and power over God, man, nature and society. Voodoo, or magic, was the religion and life of American Negroes. Voodoo songs underlie jazz, and old voodoo, with its power goal, has been merely replaced with revolutionary voodoo, a modernized power drive.

All men are NOT created equal before God; the facts of heaven and hell, election and reprobation, make clear that they are not equal. Moreover, an employer has a property right to prefer whom he will in terms of "color, creed, race or national origin. (RJR emphasis)

Segregation or separation is thus a basis principle of Biblical Law with respect to religion and morality. Every attempt to destroy this principle is an effort to reduce society to its lowest common denominator.

But integration and equality are myths; they disguise a new segregation and a new equality ... Every social order institutes its own program of separation or segregation. A particular faith and morality is given privileged status and all else is separated for progressive elimination. (emphasis added, P.T.)

Adolph Hitler expressed the above idea in this manner:

"Since a philosophy of life is never willing to share with another, it cannot be willing either to collaboration in an existing regime which it condemns, but feels obligated to combat this regime and the whole hostile world of ideas with all possible means; that is, to prepare its downfall ."

Louis Beam, former Grand Titan of the K.K.K. in Texas and heir apparent to the leadership of the White Aryan Nations, expresses the thought in an action plan:

"We do not advocate..segregation. That was a temporary political measure and that time is past..The Greater White Aryan Racialist Movement intends to establish for our White Aryan Race what every other Race on Earth has: as racial homeland..Our Order intends to take part in the Physical and Spiritual Racial Purification of ALL those countries which have traditionally been considered White Lands in Modern Times...We intend to purge this land-area of Every Non-White person, idea and influence..IN SUMMARY: this continent will be white or it will not be at all."

In line with the Hitlerian doctrine of not initiating the individual soldier into the thought processes of the higher strategy, Rushdoony continues the milder, more palatable racialist dogma to be shared with the modern day Christian Soldier:

"Not surprisingly, in Los Angeles, on May 27, 1969, an (sic) large number of voters voted for Thomas Bradley, a colored candidate, because it was "the in-thing" to do."

"The decline of European royal and noble families, as well as a weakening of strength in America's Jewish aristocracy, is a development which has run parallel with extensive inbreeding."

"The matriarchal society is thus decadent or broken society. The strongly matriarchal character of Negro life is due to the moral failure of Negro men, their failure to be responsible, to support the family, or to provide authority. The same is true of the American Indian tribes which are also matriarchal today.

"The (Biblical) Law here is humane and also unsentimental. It recognizes that some people are by nature slaves and will always be so. It both requires that they be dealt with in a godly manner and also that the slave recognizes his position and accepts it with grace."

If Dr. Rushdoony's quotes are not sufficient evidence, let's look at those of two of his close associates, Samuel Blumenfeld and Otto Scott as they write in the Chalcedon Report.

Mr. Scott recently wrote an innocuous little article in which he was reminiscing about the good old days when people sat out on their porches at night and sing or perhaps on a cross country bus trip someone would start singing and everyone would join in. A sweet memory, indeed. All of a sudden he interjects:

"Meanwhile, new phantoms of the senses have appeared; Crack Bands, LSD and cocaine, marijuana and heroin have become, in their turn, staid and respectable, 'Traditional' drugs. Black musicians, long imitated by the whites, have appeared front and center, to dominate on their own, without disguise. Their music is not intended to incite hatred: it IS hatred, (O.S. emphasis) set to an insistent, brutal jungle beat. Their lyrics are not euphemisms: they are pure open, unadulterated filth, in which women are portrayed as made to be debased, policemen to be murdered, and "Whitey" to be overcome."

Samuel L. Blumenfeld, a close associate of John Birch Society founder, Robert Welsh, and former editor of several JBS enterprises now publishes his own newsletter and also writes for the National Association of Christian Educators led by the Rev. Robert Simonds.

He is a frequent contributor to The Chalcedon Report he wrote of a letter which appeared in an African-American fraternity publication:

"I wonder if the writer in Phi Delta Kappan would be willing for a course to be taught about the African empires and that the whole truth about these civilizations, that they practiced slavery, female subjugation, despotic rule, cannibalism, genocide, and human sacrifice. In fact, the idea of the noble savage, which the writer seems to espouse, is the product of white idealism and white guilt. It was Jean-Jacuqes Rousseau, the French apostle of the Enlightenment, who promulgated that false idea which persists unfortunately in the minds of some black writers despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary."

Surely, it isn't just coincidence that when subscribing to The Blumenfeld Education Letter, a solicitation to subscribe to The American Information Newsletter, which is in part a newsdigest of various articles of Identity and Aryan Nation newsletters from around the country, is also included. In actually subscriptions to both newsletters may be obtained by writing to the same address in Boise, Idaho.

• Authors' note: Is it just coincidence, that Mr. Blumenfeld attributes these traits exclusively to African empires? We note some or all of these attributes have been exhibited by most empires/ governments/cultures past and present. We also note that at least 50 per cent of his list has been the policy of this "Christian" country's government at one time or another. We will leave it to the discretion of the reader as to what comprises the 50 per cent.

$ PRACTICAL POLITICAL APPLICATION $

Howard Fieldstead Ahmanson, Jr., scion of the founder of Home Savings of America and the theopolitical Orange County, CA multimillionaire, has served on the Board of Trustees of Chalcedon, Inc., since the mid-Seventies. In 1992, alone, he gave Chalcedon $188,000. His board service and yearly cash outlays would seem to indicate that he must have some sympathy for Rev. Rushdoony's views on race and religion, and Reconstructionism!

Mr. Ahmanson, along with three other extremely wealthy individuals, (including Rob Hurtt, Jr., who was elected to the California State Senate in a special election in March, 1993) in 1992 spent over $ 2,000,000 to elect a slate of "like-minded" religious right candidates to the California Legislature. The millionaires call themselves the Capitol Commonwealth Group. They were successful in helping to elect 16 "like-minded" newcomers and incumbents to the legislature.

Surely, it is not just coincidence, that in May and July of 1993, two of these newly elected, "like-minded", Assembly members were forced to apologize to that body for inappropriate racist and ethnic remarks:

• Pete Knight, who received $ 12,000 from the Capitol Commonwealth Group, had to apologize for circulating what he termed an "interesting" and "amusing" poem among fellow Assembly members and staffers which was extremely tasteless and denigrating to Mexicans and Mexican-Americans. (see appendix)

CHRISTIAN POLITICAL ACTION?

Surely, it can't be just coincidence that the Reverend Billy McCormack, who is one of four men who serve on the national board of Pat Robertson's Christian Coalition, was a mentor and supporter of former Klu Klux Klansman, David Duke, in his 1991 bid for the office of Governor of Louisiana.

The racist agenda has already played out against a man who was considered "one of their own." African-American conservative, William Allen* is a Professor at Harvey Mudd College. He is a former Chair of the United States Commission on Human Right and a close friend of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. He also had the temerity to seek the Republican nomination to a seat in U.S. Senate which had been "reserved" for the ultra-Christian Right's William Dannemyer. In a bizarre comedy of errors, Allen received first a harsh draft of a letter and then a final letter from the California Activist Network and then from "Christian Leaders of California," denouncing his candidacy. In effect, he was told to go to the back of the bus, to await his "time." A time when he would "probably" be able to count on them to support his future candidacy for some other seat. He was further threatened, if he persisted in his "unwise, unwinnable," and unChristian" pursuit of the Senate seat, they would be in a position to thwart any future candidacy he might pursue. They termed his efforts against Dannemeyer to be "low-grade behavior beneath the dignity of a fellow Christian." They told him in no uncertain terms to drop out of the race and to do it NOW!

The draft letter states in part:

"We like you as a Christian brother and respect your worthy service to mankind through your various roles in the past. We believe God will continue to use you in powerful ways in the future and that you would be a winnable candidate for some important seat in the future. At this time, we have a serious matter to bring before you.

This letter comes to tell you that we are calling you, in the name of Jesus Christ the King of the Universe, to immediately step down from this foolish attempt for the senate seat and to publicly announce that you are throwing your weight and your campaign behind the Dannemeyer effort for victory.

We suspect that God Himself will take efforts to discipline you and judge this action of yours however He sees fit. Any of us who have been disciplined by our Heavenly Father can tell you He can deal very forcibly with us."

The letter was signed by:

A PLEA TO PAUL AND PATTI PEW-WARMER

"We believe that institutionally, Christianity should be the official religion of the country, that its laws should be specifically Christian"

"Oh Lord, Help us to under stand that we are supposed to be the rulers."

In conclusion, we refer you to the preamble quote of Adolph Hitler. The leaders of the Christian Reconstructionist movement have sold "Paul and Patti Pew-Warmer", some of those "few, reallygreat ideas," such as, the two nebulous terms, traditional values and Judeo-Christian values.

Many are now programmed to politically organize their churches and it has been sold to them as a requirement of their own and the nation's salvation to oppose:

• Abortion
• Homosexuality

"Paul and Patti Pew-Warmer", those basically good God-fearing men and women who sit in the pews of their churches Sunday after Sunday, should question thoroughly and aggressively their spiritual leaders --- whether they be in the home pulpit, on television or radio, or a popular inspirational author, --- anyone -- be they preacher, teacher or politican -- who constantly speaks in terms of:

• America's Christian heritage
• America should be a Christian country
• The wall of separation between church and state is a myth

Instead of allowing themselves to be spoon-fed a philosophy of political sedition by alleged "spiritual" leaders, Paul and Patti should become skeptics as were the Bereans who searched the Scriptures daily to see "whether those things were so."

New citizens, members of our Armed Forces, and both Federal and State officials are all required to take an oath to defend the Constitution and our country against all enemies, both foreign AND DOMESTIC.

Can our duty as Citizens be any less?

We all, regardless of our religious or political beliefs, should unite against these so called "spiritual leaders" who transform themselves into angels of light, but, in reality are engineers of sedition in America!
