MOVERS AND SHAKERS IN CALIFORNIA THEOPOLITICS
THE JOHN BIRCH SOCIETY - founded with the original goal of fighting Communism by the late Robert Welch in the 1950's many thought it died in the 1970's. However, it is not dead!... It has merely been born again! Today many early Birchers or Sons of Birchers such as the Coors family, H.L. Dornan, M.C., Barbara Keating-Edh, Wm Dannemeyer, Preston Hawkins, Robt Poole, Pat Boone, William H. Cies, Clifford Heinz, Barbara Alby, Louis Sheldon, Henry M. Morris, W. Robert Stover, Austin Miles, Lewis K. Uhler, Gerry Snyder, James Smith, Jim Dignan.
JOE COORS: is the grandson of Adolph Coors who emigrated to the United States in 1873 to avoid the German military draft. Joe and his brother William took control of the Adolph Coors Brewing Co. located in Golden, CO. in 1970. He has been a leading mover and shaker of the Conservative movement for many years by putting his money into those causes. Much of what is happening today in the U.S., indeed the world, is a result of things set in motion by Joe and his then protege, Paul Weyrich. Principal among them the founding of the Heritage Foundation & the Free Congress Foundation.
JEFF COORS groomed by father, Joe, he along with his brother, Peter, assumed opperation of the company in 1987. He is Chairman of the Free Congress Foundation. A member of the Council on National Policy. (at this time, 5/97, no Coors Family member is active in the management of the company)
PAUL WEYRICH:: One of the central figure in all that is happening today in Theopolitics. It was he, Howard Phillips and Richard Vigurie who persuaded Jerry Falwell to start the Moral Majority. His finger is seen pulling strings in the Christian Coalition, National Empowerment TV, anti-Gay initiatives, & Theopolitical causes around the world. He has been acting as a consultant to the Russian & Ukrainian governments on so-called Free Market principles. He has a multitude of front organizations through which to work. Project Tocsin considers him the most dangerous person in American politics today! A member of the Council on National Policy.
NATIONAL EMPOWERMENT TV: A cable TV channel started by the Heritage Foundation in December, 1993. Originally it was broadcast on a monthly basis to selected audiences around the country. No other Democrat filed for the race. The mailer was touted as an "Official Democratic Women's ballot". They had hope to get enough write-in votes to qualify the young woman for the General Election. If the trick had worked it probably would have drained enough Democratic votes away from Kilea to allow the Republican candidate to win. A member of the Council on National Policy.

It has funnelled money through various front organizations and the Republican Party.
CALIFORNIA INDEPENDENT BUSINESS PAC: In June, 1995 it was announced that the ALLIED BUSINESS PAC was being phased out and Sen. Hurtt would no longer be a part of it.
